When it’s 40 below at home, there’s no better time to escape to the Hawaiian islands for a little warmth and sunshine. The fabulous Sandhu Family had that very thought when winter reared its brutal head in Alberta, Canada. We are so glad that, while enjoying our beloved island, they chose Karma Hill Photography to capture their Maui Vacation Portraits. Their two little darlings were so much fun to work with. Despite the sandy toes not being her favorite thing, 2.5 year old Sobha still displayed the illuminating brilliance that her name implies. And let’s not forget Jindh and his two front teeth. Hawaii is known for being a friendly destination, it’s all the Aloha Spirit swirling around here. So, what better way to document this amazing trip for these four friends than having a dual photo session. Simultaneous Maui Couples Portraits were a blast with these two pairs as they are such fun loving people. In town to celebrate all three guys’ birthdays, both couples were loving their relaxation time on island. Hanging by the pool and beach, exploring their surroundings, and just enjoying one another’s company was exactly what this group needed and wanted. They start out as these tiny things of beauty that rely on you for everything. Then, before you know it, they start gaining their “independence.” They want down, they want to try, they want to explore. There is something so profound about preparing to become a parent. The scales tip back and forth between anxious and excited, nervous and ecstatic. There’s nothing else like it. We love getting to share in this truly magnificent time with our clients. Jaime and Michael traveled from L.A. to enjoy their babymoon and, of course, were brilliant to want Maui Maternity Portraits. What better way to capture the sheer beauty of pregnancy than against the stunning back drop of the gorgeous coastline. They were treated to a lovely combination of land and sea that their future daughter will love looking back at later. As avid hikers, the natural beauty all around was a blessing that did not disappoint. It was the perfect setting to show off baby girl’s adorable hiking boots. We can’t wait to welcome this growing family back to the island, especially when we can see the little darling sporting those boots!!! Thank you so much to the Burnham Family for choosing us for their Maui Family Portraits. After being unable to book a session with me five years ago because I was on maternity leave, I’m so glad we were finally able to make it happen on their recent trip to the beautiful Magic Isle. What an honor to know that, all these years later, they still remembered Karma Hill Photography! We were blessed to have a stunning pastel evening along the southern shore to capture this anniversary trip for Rhett and Heidi. While I’m sure Ashlynn would have rather been listening Taylor Swift, her favorite artist, she was an excellent model for the portrait session. She showed off her pearly white teeth and soulful brown eyes like a pro. This sweet family was an absolute pleasure to work with and I’m grateful to have met them.
