Happy Haven In Winter – The Hayford Family’s Maui Portraits

As a fabulous Christmas gift for their amazing dad and step mom, Brit and Christina were so excited to arrange a Maui Family Portrait for their troop. Escaping the winter back home, they reveled in the warmth and beauty of their first time on island. Loving the landscape, and the bonding time with the newest family member, the Hayford Family was all smiles as they played, walked, and laughed along the golden shore. With Kanaha Beach preening around them, the soft cloud cover made for a dreamy scene and no sun-blinding moments. It was an amazing day and we are so glad they were able to enjoy it with us. Thank you, Hayford Family, for choosing Karma Hill Photography. Until we meet again, Warm Aloha!!!Maui Family Photographer: Chantelle of Karma Hill PhotographyLocation: Kanaha BeachTime of Day: SunsetCheck out our last Maui family portrait with the Chee family!

Winter Retreat – The Gateley Family’s Maui Family Portrait

Seeking refuge from the winter weather, the Gateley Family left the Vancouver cold behind and headed for the Hawaiian islands. Blessed with a stunning morning for their Maui Family Portrait, the terrific trio were all smiles as they played along the perfect shore. Twenty month old Pierce was ecstatic to be beside the sea. The ocean was calling his name! With the water teasing his toes, he was a beautiful bundle of joy and laughter as he swung between his mom and dad’s arms. With so much to celebrate in their lives, it’s no wonder they are smiles from ear to ear. Thank you, Gateley Family, for letting our team capture the happiness of family bonding in paradise. It was a pleasure meeting you three and we hope to see you back again one day! Until then, Happy Holidays and Warm Aloha!!!Maui Family Photographer: Chantelle of Karma Hill PhotographyLocation: Baby BeachTime of Day: MorningCheck out our last Maui family portrait with the Panama family!

A Wonderful Winter Escape – The Sandhu Family’s Maui Vacation Portraits

When it’s 40 below at home, there’s no better time to escape to the Hawaiian islands for a little warmth and sunshine. The fabulous Sandhu Family had that very thought when winter reared its brutal head in Alberta, Canada. We are so glad that, while enjoying our beloved island, they chose Karma Hill Photography to capture their Maui Vacation Portraits. Their two little darlings were so much fun to work with. Despite the sandy toes not being her favorite thing, 2.5 year old Sobha still displayed the illuminating brilliance that her name implies. And let’s not forget Jindh and his two front teeth. Those inquisitive eyes are show stoppers! Southside Beach provided an outstanding setting for this charming family’s excursion. Thank you, Sandhu Family. Your family is so kind and beautiful and it was our absolute pleasure getting to spend time with you four. We hope to see you all back again soon!!!

A Winter’s Morning – Maui Family Portraits by Karma Hill

We had a little Maui winter weather for the Fritz family portraits. A bit of wind and clouds didn’t stop us however, the water was still aqua and the light was still beautiful! This fun family had two teenagers who were not SUPER excited to be forced to wake up early for portraits, but by the end of the shoot the entire family was having fun splashing in the water! This cute family was visiting Maui from Canada to celebrate mom and dad’s 20th wedding anniversary and to enjoy a relaxing warm family vacation away from the cold back home. I was so happy to be a part of the celebration and I had a great time with them.

Winter Time in Maui! The Ranganathan Family Portraits by Maui Photographer Karma Hill

Maui is known for it’s year round near perfect weather, but in the winter time, we do get a bit more rain then in the summer. The Ranganathan’s were such great sports when on the day of their portrait session, Maui decided the plants needed some water! Although it was sprinkling and cloudy most of the session, the sun did pop out for a few moments giving us some very interesting light.
