Terao-Guiala Family Anniversary Portraits

We photographed the Terao-Guila family at their home in Maui. This special photo shoot was a celebration of their 30th wedding anniversary. Of course, their two adorable dogs were invited in the portraits too with their matching outfits. How can you not love that little doggie necktie!? Thank you Terao-Guiala Family for choosing Photography by Karma Hill to capture your anniversary portraits! It was wonderful to meet all four of you!

Kimberly & Justin’s Maui Wedding at Ironwoods Beach

Kimberly & Justin chose to celebrate their beautiful Maui destination wedding at Ironwoods Beach in West Maui. They had so many adorable details and decorations. We LOVED their wedding stationary suite and the colorful surfboard that was custom created for their seating plan! We had so much fun with this wedding party, jumping in the sand with friends and throwing confetti into the air! We also got to squeeze in some photos in the Kamehameha Suite at Honua Kai, where they were staying. We loved the chance to take some kissing shots in the elevator! So fun. Thank you so much Kimberly & Justin for choosing

Stephanie & Loghan’s Sunset Maui Wedding at Poolenalena Beach

Stephanie & Loghan celebrated their wedding at Poolenalena Beach in South Maui last week. They flew down to this islands from their home in Alaska, bringing with them a big troop of friends and family. This party on the beach was full of fun playful personalities. The groom’s brother-in-law performed their ceremony and when saying his vows, Loghan knelt down on one knee! Once the I-do’s were said, we snuck away with Stephanie and Loghan for some intimate couples portraits at the end of the beach. These guys were up for anything, even splashing around in the waves! Thank you both so much for choosing Photography by Karma Hill. We hope your time in Maui’s tropical weather was wonderful! Congratulations again!

Evan & Michael’s Trash the Dress Photo Session at Southside Beach

Evan and Michael were married at The Gardens in Haiku the night before their Trash the Dress portrait session. (Check out their wedding images here!) We travelled to Southside Beach for this morning photo shoot and gave the newlyweds another opportunity to wear their wedding outfits. Sand, lava rocks, crashing waves, palm trees. The location could not be a more perfectly romantic spot for this intimate couples shoot. These two were absolutely beautiful to photograph, even when they were drenched by the end of our time together! Thank you both so much for choosing Photography by Karma Hill. We loved meeting you and we hope your time in Maui has been beautiful! Congratulations again!

Kanemoto Family Mini Session

We are lucky to have the Kanemoto family as neighbors, they are amazingly nice and always ready to lend you a cup (or bag) of sugar if need be! We were so happy for them when we found out that they were finally getting to adopt a baby.

Emmett’s 2nd Birthday Party!! – What a Circus!!

So when you have a mom who is a photographer and loves Pinterest, this is what you get. Over the top, I know, I just can’t stop once I get started!! Our sweet little Emmett turned two and was surrounded by lots of friends and family as we ate cotton candy, rode ponies, made popcorn and bobbed for apples. It was SO much fun and Emmett is still trying to sneak cupcakes as he enjoys his birthday gifts.

Sherri & Lucas’s Couples Portraits at Southside Beach – by Chamonix

Sherri and Lucas met us at Southside Beach for their Maui Couples Portraits. This gorgeous couple started dating when Sherri moved to the island 4 years ago and they’ve been together ever since. Now Sherri works as a day-of wedding coordinator on the island and this photo shoot was her big chance to get Lucas involved in her wonderful world of cute wedding props! Sherri is so sweet and full of bubbly enthusiasm. She brought an entire box of fun props with her — balloons, goofy champagne flutes, bubble machines, hearts on sticks and sparklers! Lucas was such a good sport, playing along for his lady as she dropped coke bottles into his hands, convinced him to lie on his back in the sand, and kissed him over the top of a red rose. We had these two running all over the beach, splashing in the waves and holding lots of long kisses for the camera. Thank you so much Sherri & Lucas for playing with us on the beach — we had so much fun with you guys!
