Christina is entering her senior year in high school this year and had dreamed of having senior portraits taken in Maui, it happened that her family was coming for a vacation so they made her dream come true! Christina is a lovely young woman who is not only beautiful, but smart! She in AP classes, she is also a dancer, a cheerleader and can bake! I asked her what couldn’t she do and I don’t think she could think of one thing LOL! A Backyard Maui Wedding – Kat & Stephen’s Preview – by Staff Photographer Naomi

We just loved Kat and Stephen’s bright and cheery backyard wedding! While Kat and Stephen reside in New Zeland, they have Maui roots and Kat’s grandma was kind enough to let them use her beautiful Wailuku home for their intimate and love filled wedding and reception. From the happy yellow Chevron stripes to the sparkly gold mason jars filled with flowers, every detail of this wedding reflected Kat’s fun and sparkly personality.  We loved being a part of this couples special day and our staff photographer Naomi and second shooter Brooke had a great time capturing the moments that make a wedding so special.  Mahalo to Kat and Stephen for choosing us and congrats!!! Welcome Back Leitgeb Family! – Maui Vacation Portraits by Karma Hill

This is the third time I have had the pleasure of working with the Leitgeb family, but surprisingly the first time they have had beach portraits! The first time was on their hotel grounds and the second time at Heritage Gardens in Iao Valley.  We ended up at Naupaka Beach in Makena after Big beach was very crowded.  Naupaka is a very unique and hidden away gem in Maui, it has black sand and unique vegetation as well as huge red sheer cliffs.  It was a bright and sunny morning and we took advantage of the shade and green to keep cool.  It was cute to see how much fun the girls had playing in the water and just enjoying the time with their family.  Mahalo Leitgeb Family, it was so great seeing you again!! From Dawn til Dusk – Kristen and Keith’s Maui Anniversary Portraits – by Karma Hill and Staff Photographer Naomi

Kristen and Keith took a romantic anniversary trip away from the kids and decided it would be a great time to get some updated couples photos as well as capture some of the beauty of Hawaii with them BOTH in the photos.  When researching whether to have a morning or a sunset portrait session, they could not decide, so they just decided to book both!! I did their morning portrait session in Paia town and Baldwin Beach, it was a bit breezy, but otherwise gorgeous morning and I loved that they were up for anything at all I suggested! The fun loving couple were very easy to photograph, they were so in love it just radiates though their photos.  Their sunset ceremony at Makena Big Beach and Naupaka beaches was captured by our talented staff photographer Naomi.  The soft glowy evening was perfect for some romantic sunset shots and the couple now has a really beautiful well rounded collection of them enjoying some of the most scenic spots in Maui!  Mahalo Kristen and Keit

The Wakefield family had gotten beach photos in the past and decided that this time they wanted to change it up a bit and went for some fun jungle photos! We met in the lush Iao valley and took advantage of the beautiful scenery that the jungles of Maui have to offer. Welcome Back! – The Jarrell Family Portraits Preview – by Karma Hill

I first met the Jarrell family, before they were even a family! I had the pleasure to photograph their Maui wedding 3 years ago and I was SO happy to hear they were coming back to Maui with their 2 year old daughter!  It is so cool to see a couple become parents and see the same love they had at their wedding even stronger with the addition of a child.  Their little girl could not have been any cuter, such a doll, her smile fills her whole face 🙂  We met at my favorite beach, Baldwin Beach on a perfect morning, the water is aqua, the sand is blue and there is a pretty shaded area for a variety of images.  Mahalo to the Jarrell family for choosing me again!! What better opportunity to capture some updated photos of your extended family then when you are on vacation in Maui!! This adorable family chose Makena Big beach as their background, this beach is so amazing and definitely a staff favorite for the amazing scenery and the quality of the light.  This family clearly has fun together, usually the kids are the ones jumping off of sand dunes and running around, but the adults wanted to get in the fun too!
