For their first trip to Hawaii, the Johnson Family was treated to a stunning morning at Po’olenalena Beach. The sun sparkled off the sea as this gorgeous family basked in the glowing light. Having traveled from Idaho, they were struck by the natural beauty of our glorious island. With clear conditions and beautiful models, this Maui Family Portrait was a pleasure to capture. We couldn’t have asked for a better back drop or a more picturesque view of the ocean. Jacie and Kenzie were such naturals in front of the camera, they couldn’t have been any cuter. It was very clear how much this family has together and how much they will cherish this family trip. Thank you, Johnson Family, for letting Karma Hill Photography capture this moment in time. On a stunning night in South Maui, with a sky that looked as though it had been painted for all to enjoy, the Van der Veens embraced their Maui Beach Portraits. Escaping the cold and reality back home in Alberta, this party of four got to relax and unwind among the sand, surf, and palms of our gorgeous island in the Pacific. As the pastel hues danced along the horizon, the Van der Veen Family was treated to a show put on by nature. Po’olenalena provided an excellent setting with a lovely back drop, pristine sand, and greey & trees to add a little extra interest. This family was so sweet with each other, and wonderful for us to work with. We are grateful they thought of Karma Hill Photography to capture this moment in time for them. We look forward to seeing this beautiful family back again soon. Diane and her two daughters and their best friends, who are considered a part of the family, all took a girls trip to Maui, how fun! They thought it would be even more fun to get some photos while they were here to document their awesome trip, and for each lady to get some beautiful shots solo! I LOVE that idea and it was so great to get to work with this lovely group of ladies.
When Kaitlyn’s mom first contacted Brooke, her email went something like… “I am wanting something fun, can I get more info on surfboards and ponies?” As soon as Brooke mentioned ponies, my ears perked up! I have been wanting to do a Pony shoot FOREVER. Melissa at Maui Ponies was kind enough to bring the ponies to us at the beach to surprise Kaitlyn during her photo shoot!! Seriously, good job mom and dad, way to make a photo shoot not only super fun, but something she will remember ALWAYS! Since this was one of my whimsical portrait packages, we had more time and planning and we were able to also incorporate balloons, floral headpieces and a surfboard. I put together a Pinterest pin board before the shoot to show them some of my ideas and then they let me know what worked and what didn’t. It was great getting to collaborate with them before the shoot, and we were all very excited to see it come together! Thank you so much Deana, Kaitlyn and Jeff for choosing me to be your Maui photo
