I LOVE doing these magic of childhood shoots! Little Evelyn and I share a passion for Disney and in particular the movie Moana. What better place than Maui to do a Moana themed photoshoot! We were just missing Maui as her dad decided he didn’t want to get that many Tattoos! LOL Little Hina the pig who is a family pet of a local family showed up as Pua and a squeezable Hei Hei made the magic complete. After we had fun seeing how far we could go with the Moana theme ( pun intended ) we switched gears and went full on beach princess! The team at Dellables created a beautiful floral swing for Evelyn to sit on and also made for a cute back drop for mom and dad to sneak a few couples photos in!Then we moved on to our beach fort fit for a princess complete with lace and shells.
I just adore Magic of Childhood portrait shoots. It lets me stretch my creative wings and get to spend time with some truly adorable kids. This time I got to spend time with two wonderful sisters who loved all things natural and the beach, they found driftwood and loved our “fort” adorned with driftwood and natural shells. The driftwood swing and starfish galore added to the magic and we were so lucky to get the most perfect night at a usually windy Kanaha Beach. The winds were very light and the light was about as good as it gets. I could not have asked for a more perfect evening for such a special shoot!Flower Crowns: Dellables Floral DesignGirls Hair: Salon 253Time of Day: SunsetLocation: Kanaha BeachPhotographer: KarmaCheck out our last Magic of Childhood Portraits with Madeline!
I had a blast with Lauren and Michael! These two have been in love since the age of 14 and 10 years later, they are getting married! We started their shoot at the Wailea Beach Villas where their family was staying we took advantage of the beautiful grounds before heading over the Southside beach for some sunset beach photos.
